Enpresse

Take one pill at the same time each day as directed by your doctor. It is important to take Enpresse at the same time every day, so pick a time that you will easily remember, such as right before bedtime.

Each pill pack contains 21 active pills and 7 inert pills. Regardless of whether you are taking the regular or inert pills, take them once per day. You will get your period during the fourth week of the pill pack cycle.

Enpresse is safe and widely available at pharmacies with a prescription from your doctor. It is the generic version of the drug Triphasil. Other generic versions of this medication include Myzilra, Levonest, and Trivora-28.

Tell your doctor if you are allergic to estrogens or progestins, or if you have any other allergies before taking Enpresse.

You should also let your doctor know if you have a medical history of blood clots or blood clotting disorders, abnormal breast exam, high blood pressure, depression, diabetes, cancer, heart disease, unexplained vaginal bleeding, or any other medical issues.

This medication could affect your blood sugar if you have diabetes, so make sure to check your blood sugar regularly and share your results with your healthcare provider.

Yes, Enpresse does have some known side effects. These can include spotting or vaginal bleeding between periods, nausea, vomiting, bloating, headache, fluid retention, and breast tenderness. Contact your doctor for a pregnancy test if you miss two or more periods.

Enpresse could raise your blood pressure, so check your blood pressure regularly.

There are some side effects that are rare but serious. These include mood changes, dark urine, yellowing eyes/skin, lumps in the breast tissue, or severe stomach pain.

Hormonal birth control can increase your risk for blood clots, so seek immediate medical attention if you experience symptoms like chest or left arm pain, slurred speech, swelling in the groin or calf, weakness on one side of the body, or vision problems.

It is a relatively common myth that birth control pills cause weight gain. Some people may confuse breast enlargement or fluid retention for weight gain. Don't let the fear of weight gain prevent you from getting on the pill.

The seven inactive pills that you take at the end of each pill pack do not have hormones in them. However, if you have taken the first 21 pills correctly, you are still protected from pregnancy during the inactive pills.

If you get an upset stomach, take Enpresse after your evening meal. Diarrhea or vomiting can prevent Enpresse from working well, so use a back-up contraceptive method, such as condoms if you have these symptoms.

Enpresse does not protect you or your partner from sexually transmitted infections (STIs), including HIV.
