Does Nurx accept health insurance for medication?

Yes, we accept most forms of private health insurance for medications, including:

Aetna
Anthem
Blue Cross Blue Shield
Cigna
CVS Caremark
Express Scripts
OptumRx
United Health Care

Nurx providers do not participate or bill any government insurance, including Medicaid, for these services. The services and medications therefore won’t be paid for by your government insurer. We recommend that you find a local provider in your community that participates in your government payer program.

Please note that at this time, we do not submit claims to insurance (private or otherwise) for the medical consult fee, which must be paid in cash. Please see Terms of Use at https://www.nurx.com/terms-conditions/ (XIII Payment) for more information.

We do not accept insurance for medications prescribed for anti-aging (fine lines and wrinkles), melasma, eyelash growth, and women’s hair loss treatment, as insurance companies typically consider these non-medically necessary medications that they do not cover.

If you’d like to know if we accept your health insurance plan, please connect with our team at [email protected]. If you would like to order a prescription or home test kit from Nurx, get started here.
